WinXP/NT/2000 - Known
install issues :
The absence
or corruption of one or more of the following system files on your
computer (during program
install)
may cause a
"16-bit MS-DOS Subsystem" error. The missing or corrupt
system files are: “command.com”,
“autoexec.nt” and/or “config.nt”
|
Error example:
”C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32AUTOEXEX.NT. The file is not suitable for
running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications". |
The above error is likely to occur
if your system is infected (or has been infected in the past) by
spyware/virus/worm or other similar malicious application. Some of
these are known to affect (delete/corrupt) the above mentioned
system files.
Remedy:
This web site lists a WinXP patch which can automatically
check and repair the missing
(or corrupt) files on your system, and once downloaded and run
will enable you to complete ShareExpress's installation.
Please note: The patch was not produced by us and we do not
support it (although known to work ok and automatically fix the problem).
Use at
your own risk.
