Message subject : the cab driver for the best tips talk to

This message was posted by jack on April 06, 2000 :
The world is small and getting smaller nothing new in that, but what is interesting is how persons from totally unrelated fields and from different parts of the world can have converging interests.

What the hell are you on about JACK????????

Well the story goes like this,
Person X gives a friend a tip, the friend mentions this to another friend who mentions it to his friend. The latter is not even in Australia ,he is in Europe.
He does however happen to be the head of the technology investment division of a very large investment fund.
Now he doesnt realise that the original tip has come from a removalist (the story has gone through so many people it has become a little confusing) he thinks that the person is in fact part of the management team.

Hence he confidently picks up the phone and rings our friendly removalist (on the mobile)
The latter is totally confused by the call but he is street smart and allows the fund manager to continue.
NOW it turns out that the they want to invest in the company that our removalist is also an investor and happens to know the MD of the company.

Lets summarise this: REMOVALIST RECEIVES CALL FROM FUND MANAGER RE INVESTING IN AN AUSTRALIAN COMPANY.

Now.......... You may think this totally insane But its true...........

STAY TUNED TO THIS CHANNELL TO FIND OUT WHO THE FUND MANAGEMENT COMPANY IS AND WHO THE AUSTRALIAN COMPANY IS.

Now would this constitute insider trading by accident ?????

mmmmmm Didnt think about that,

\_/ Cheers
JACK
